My research is in the general area of stochastic modeling and optimization. The focus is on decision making under uncertainty in complex, high-dimensional systems that become tractable using statistical learning theory, machine learning, and AI techniques. Previous and current research involved ambulance planning, suicide prevention, care of elderly people, optimization of care-at-home facilities.
