Research focus
Prescriptive analytics, operations research and combinatorial optimization
Research Description:
Prescriptive analytics and operations research are core methods to make data-driven decisions in relevant optimization and planning problems and to ensure intelligent planning and efficient use of resources. These tools are also closely related to and can be meaningful combined with tools from AI. I mainly focus on tools such as mixed integer programming to study and solve challenging planning and optimization problems arising in different fields such as logistics, transportation, or network design.
