AI in healthcare logistics
Caroline’s research focuses on health care logistics: from optimizing ambulance operations to transporting medical isotopes by drone, and from volunteer alert systems for cardiac arrest to pharmaceutical supply chains. Caroline’s work aims to increase the efficiency of these systems, using techniques such as simulation, stochastic modelling, integer programming and convex optimization. Moreover, she analyses whether solutions are fair, making sure we have an appropriate trade-off when it comes to efforts made for different patient groups.
